New Shotcrete, Tunneling and Mining business unit established to service North American Market

King – a Sika Company is pleased to announce that we have established the Shotcrete, Tunneling & Mining (STM) business unit. This business unit has been created to target the North American mining and tunneling industry and to further build on the success that King Packaged Materials Company, Construction Products Group have enjoyed in the North American shotcrete markets.

This unit will be led by Scott Rand who has been officially appointed as Vice President, North America, Shotcrete, Tunneling & Mining. Scott brings over 20 years of experience representing the KING brand and is well recognized in the construction, mining and shotcrete industries. Scott will lead an expanded sales team consisting of existing King CP and Sika North America team members.

Shotcrete, Tunneling & Mining will focus on complete shotcrete solutions, including materials and equipment, and will service the growing Canadian and US mining, tunneling, refractory, concrete construction and concrete rehabilitation markets.

King Shotcrete Equipment Inc. Appoints Technical Service Representative

King Shotcrete Equipment Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Noah Callantine to the position of Technical Service Representative, effective April 15, based in Allentown, PA. In this newly created position, Noah will be responsible for providing technical service support for a wide range of equipment brands and models of concrete and shotcrete machines, either in-house or by traveling to customer locations. He is highly skilled in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical powered machinery.

Noah comes from within the shotcrete and concrete pumping industry. He will be a valuable asset not only to the company, but also to the entire customer base. Noah has other skills that will allow him to perform in-service on all new equipment sales, as well as to teach customers how to use, maintain, and service equipment. He will also be an asset internally as KSE continues to develop new business in the U.S. market.
