Putzmeister’s dependable Pre-Dampener Pumps are designed to be used with packaged, pre-blended materials for dry-process shotcrete applications. These units promote proper hydration of gunning materials and ensure minimal rebound. Pre-Dampener Pumps are ideal for use on refractory, civil and underground job-sites.

PD-1 Continuous Pre-Dampener
The PD-1 Pre-dampener is designed to allow the addition of a controlled amount of moisture to bagged material as it is transported and fed into the gun. Pre-dampening eliminates static electricity while greatly reducing dust and rebound. Gun part wear is also significantly minimized. Most importantly, pre-dampening produces the highest quality of in-place material.

PD-1/GRH Gunning Rig
The PD-1/GRH Gunning Rig combines the proven success of the GRH rotor gun with our most popular pre-dampener. This machine provides the opportunity to add a controlled amount of moisture to the bagged material as it’s transported and fed into the gun. The addition of moisture – as much as 60 percent of the total water required – and the mixing action of the auger, starts the hydration process long before the material reaches the nozzle. A standard water-cooled diesel engine provides powerful performance. Trailer mounting includes single torq-flex axle, electric brakes and lights and a pintle towing hitch.

R-900 Batch Pre-Dampener
The R-900 Batch Pre-dampener is designed for high-volume dry-process gunning in Refractory or Civil work. This machine is ideal for use with the N-Type Pneumatic Gun, but will also feed any other Allentown rotary gun. The ease of operation and maintenance of the R-900 makes this a popular choice for Allentown customers.
